/myōōz/guitars Legacy, Model One Featured in Art, Jazz + the Blues Exhibition at MoCA of Westport
We are honored to share that a Legacy, Model One is currently on view at the MoCA of Westport as part of the exhibition Art, Jazz + the Blues, running from February 26 through June 7, 2026.
Presented in collaboration with the Westport Public Art Collections, the exhibition explores the powerful dialogue between visual art and music, bringing together works that reflect how sound, rhythm, and cultural history shape artistic expression.
The show features artists across generations and disciplines, highlighting how music—particularly jazz and blues—has influenced visual language and creative storytelling.
Within this context, the inclusion of a /myōōz/guitars Legacy, Model One places the instrument not only as a tool for music-making, but also as an object of design, craftsmanship, and cultural narrative. Installed alongside works from the museum’s collections, the guitar reflects the exhibition’s theme of cross-disciplinary dialogue between sound, form, and artistic identity.
The exhibition opening brought together artists, musicians, collectors, and members of the local creative community. Seeing visitors engage with the instrument in a museum setting underscores our ongoing belief that guitars can exist not only on stages, but also within broader conversations about art, heritage, and contemporary craft.
We are deeply grateful to the museum and curatorial team for including /myōōz/guitars in this conversation and for recognizing the instrument as part of the evolving language between music and visual art.
This exhibition is another reminder that instruments carry stories — and sometimes those stories belong on the wall as much as in the hands of a musician.
